Workshop Cancellation & Weather Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Cancellation by Participant
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is: 48 hours or more before the workshop — full refund. 24-48 hours before the workshop — 50% refund. Less than 24 hours before the workshop — no refund. All cancellations must be requested by email to meetmohitp@gmail.com
2. Cancellation by Us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a future workshop date. We will notify you as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation.
3. Weather Policy
Photography workshops often involve outdoor conditions. Workshops proceed in light rain and overcast conditions — these can actually produce the most dramatic images. Workshops are only rescheduled in the event of severe weather including heavy rain, thunderstorms, or dangerous conditions. We monitor weather forecasts closely and will notify participants of any changes.
4. Rescheduling
If a workshop is rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered: (a) A place on the rescheduled date, or (b) A full refund if the new date does not suit. Rescheduled workshops typically run within 2-4 weeks of the original date.
5. Communication
All workshop-related communication is sent via email and SMS. Please ensure your contact details are correct when booking. The exact meeting location is provided to confirmed participants 24 hours before the workshop via email.
6. What to Bring
Required equipment varies by workshop but typically includes: a DSLR or mirrorless camera, appropriate lenses (specified per workshop), a sturdy tripod, spare batteries and memory cards, weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and water. A detailed equipment list is provided upon booking confirmation.
7. Physical Requirements
Most workshops involve moderate walking on potentially uneven terrain. Participants should be comfortable standing for extended periods and carrying their own equipment. If you have mobility concerns, please contact us before booking to discuss suitability.
8. Liability
Participation in outdoor photography workshops involves inherent risks. You participate at your own risk. Moda Shutterworx and Mohit Prasad are not liable for personal injury, equipment damage, or loss unless caused by negligence. We strongly recommend participants have appropriate travel and equipment insurance.
9. Age Requirement
Workshop participants must be 16 years or older. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying guardian. All participants under 18 require a signed parental consent form.
10. Photography During Workshops
You retain all rights to photographs you capture during the workshop. We may take behind-the-scenes photographs during workshops for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know at the start of the session.
